Levi’s®’ Many Ways, One Original Celebrates Every Version of You

There is rarely one version of who we are. The person who reaches for a sharp pair of jeans and a fitted top one day can spend the next in an oversized denim jacket, loose-fitting jeans and sneakers, and both choices can be equally representative. Personal style has always worked this way. It shifts with our schedules, our surroundings, our moods and, sometimes, simply what happens to be clean in the wardrobe. Levi’s® brings that idea into focus with the second chapter of its ‘Behind Every Original’ campaign, titled ‘Many Ways, One Original,’ once again starring Global Brand Ambassador Alia Bhatt.

The new chapter takes the campaign beyond the idea of a single hero look and instead sees the many versions of the modern woman. At its core is a fairly simple thought: originality can take many forms. The way we dress on a busy morning can look very different from what we choose for a night out, and both can belong to the same person. Levi’s® uses denim as the thread connecting these different moments, exploring how fits, silhouettes, and individual styling choices can move with us through different parts of life.
It is a natural direction for a brand that has spent more than 150 years intertwined with personal expression. Since the invention of its jeans in 1873, Levi’s® has become closely associated with the evolution of casual dressing, while its place in music, fashion, art and popular culture has given denim an identity that stretches well beyond a single garment. The new campaign builds on that history by presenting personal style as something that can evolve alongside the person wearing it.

The campaign’s visual language comes together through a new brand film inspired by the idea of a mixtape. It follows Bhatt through a series of settings, including a subway corridor, a bustling street corner and a neighbourhood pub. Each location introduces a different atmosphere and, with it, another expression of personal style. The movement between these spaces gives the film its rhythm, allowing the story to shift from one version of an Original to another.
The mixtape is an especially fitting reference for a campaign about individuality. A good one has never been about sticking to a single sound. It is about the combination. One track might belong to a particular phase of life, another might come from a friend, another might have been discovered on a late-night scroll, and somehow they all sit together. ‘Many Ways, One Original’ applies a similar logic to personal style. The clothes we wear can come from different influences and different parts of our lives, yet the final combination becomes our own.

Bhatt is at the centre of this shifting wardrobe narrative, bringing the campaign’s different sides of self-expression together. Her presence allows the film to move naturally between different settings, looks and moods, while the clothes remain central to the story. Levi’s® approaches denim here as a flexible foundation, with different fits and silhouettes offering multiple ways to build an outfit rather than prescribing one definitive way to wear them.
That versatility is perhaps the strongest fashion takeaway from the campaign. Denim has always had a reputation for being easy, but ease can mean different things to different people. For one person, it might be a pair of classic jeans with a simple shirt. For another, it could be a loose silhouette styled with a fitted top and statement accessories. Someone else might reach for a denim jacket layered over an entirely different look. The campaign leaves room for all of these interpretations, placing the emphasis on styling and individuality.
This also reflects the way wardrobes have evolved. Personal style today is rarely confined to one neat category. Someone can move between minimal dressing, maximal accessories, oversized tailoring, vintage references and streetwear without needing to choose a single aesthetic. A favourite pair of jeans can travel through all of it. That makes denim particularly suited to Levi’s®’ latest campaign because the garment already has a history of being reinterpreted by different generations and subcultures.

We often talk about having a signature style as though consistency is the ultimate fashion achievement. In reality, some of the most interesting wardrobes are the ones that refuse to stay in one lane. The woman wearing denim today can be different from the woman wearing it tomorrow, even when the same pair of jeans is involved.
For Levi’s®, this becomes a broader interpretation of what an Original can be. The brand describes the campaign as a celebration of the influences and expressions that shape individuality, while Bhatt draws a parallel between these different facets and the tracks on a mixtape. Her perspective reinforces the idea that different experiences, people, places, and personal interests can all contribute to the way someone expresses themselves through clothes.
The result is a campaign that treats denim as part of a larger lifestyle story. The focus remains firmly on clothing, yet the clothes are given context through the places and situations around them. The subway, the street and the pub create three different chapters, while the styling shifts alongside them. It gives the campaign a social-first quality that suits the way fashion is consumed today, where a single outfit can quickly become several looks through a change of layering, proportions, or accessories. That is where ‘Many Ways, One Origina’l lands most effectively. It understands that individuality does not require a fixed uniform.

With Chapter Two of Behind Every Original, Levi’s® turns the idea of originality into an open-ended proposition. There is room for the polished version, the relaxed version, the spontaneous version and the one who changes her mind halfway through getting dressed. There is room for a wardrobe that borrows from different influences and makes them work together. And there is certainly room for more than one favourite pair of jeans.
After all, the most convincing personal style stories are rarely built around one look. They come from all the different ones we collect along the way and the freedom to keep changing what comes next.
